Browsing Without an Account
You can browse public pages — including schedule and score previews, school discovery, and our help and legal information — without creating an account. A free account is required to save schools, choose sports, build your personalized slate, sync calendars, and receive notifications. Display preferences may be stored locally in your browser.
Local Storage
Varsity Slate uses browser localStorage for preferences such as theme, timezone, anonymous app IDs, and product flow flags used to improve the experience.
Account Data
If you create an account, we store your email address and app preferences needed for cross-device syncing, follows, feeds, notifications, billing, and feedback features.
Analytics
We collect limited first-party product analytics to understand onboarding, follows, dashboard use, and feature health. We do not sell personal data or use ad-network tracking.
Third-Party Services
Varsity Slate uses public sports data sources and platform providers such as Supabase and Stripe for app functionality. Game data belongs to its respective sources and institutions.
Security
App traffic is served over HTTPS. Database access is protected by Row Level Security so account-scoped records are limited to the appropriate user.
