Answers for common Varsity Slate questions.

Do I need an account?

No — you can browse Varsity Slate's public pages, including schedule and score previews, school discovery, and our help and legal info, without an account. A free account is required to save schools, pick sports, build your personalized slate, sync calendars, and get game alerts.

What is my slate?

Your slate is the personalized schedule Varsity Slate builds from the schools and sports you follow. Instead of checking every school site separately, you get one focused place for the games that matter to you.

How do I get started?

Create an account, follow your first school, then choose the sports you want included. Once that setup is complete, Varsity Slate can show your upcoming games, scores, results, and calendar options.

How do I follow a school?

After signing in, use Schools or Explore to find a school, open its page, and follow it. You can manage followed schools and sports from Settings.

How do I choose which sports appear?

Each followed school can have its own sport preferences. Use Settings to turn sports on or off so your slate stays focused on the teams and seasons you actually care about.

Why do some sports or games not appear?

A sport may be out of season, your school may not sponsor it, or the schedule may not be available from supported data sources yet. Some smaller events and late schedule changes can appear later.

How often do live scores update?

Live game views refresh regularly during active games. Schedules update on a longer cadence because they change less often than scores.

Can I add games to my calendar?

Yes. Calendar feeds are tied to your account and the schools or teams you follow. Availability and limits depend on your plan.

Still need help?

Create an account or log in, then send a bug report, feature request, or general note from the feedback page so the team can follow up. Signed-in users can also track their submissions.
